Moses<\/strong> returned to Los Cabos. Together with the <strong>Los Cabos Rotary Club<\/strong>, lead by <strong>Nordstrom Hatfield<\/strong> and in collaboration with a team of experts, they performed their surgerys for patients with cleft lip and cleft palate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this first semester of 2023, <strong>88 surgical procedures<\/strong> were performed, <strong>22 babies and children<\/strong> received cleft reconstructive surgeries performed under intensive pediatric general anesthesia. <strong>45 patients<\/strong> were remotely examined through telemedicine as a preventive measure against COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team of experts in this initial stage was a total of <strong>22 people<\/strong>, including doctors, nurses, and language therapists. The estimated relative value of the medical-surgical mission was <strong>$591,600.00 USD<\/strong>, exceeding the figures reported in 2022, where 68 surgeries were performed on 12 patients with an estimated value of $457,700.00 USD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smiles has been coming to Los Cabos twice a year for 12 years, and <strong>has treated more than 350 children<\/strong>. Smiles provides continuous and constant monitoring of the children who enter the program, providing them with all the operations and rehabilitation therapies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team of this last surgical mission was a total of 18 people between Nurses and Speech Therapists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you to all the nurses, doctors and specialists.
