  • The restaurant registration period is open from March 14 to April 15.
  • Restaurants can register directly on the website. There they choose which categories to participate in and create a username and password that will allow them to modify their information as well as respond to comments that users make in the App at any time. This will generate the first version of the interactive Culinary Guide.
  • Culinary Awards Los Cabos has a professional structure with the necessary tools to obtain a higher level of efficiency in the key processes of the event.
  • The first year, an Advisory Council was implemented, that reviewed the evaluation reports, as well as the category guidelines.

Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. In its fourth edition, the Culinary Awards aims to recognize the best restaurants in Los Cabos, Todos Santos and Pescadero through jury evaluations and online voting.

Representatives of the state and municipal governments, organizations associated with tourism and the food and beverage industry, sponsors, special guests, members of the Organizing Committee and the Advisory Council met at the NAO restaurant, a restaurant awarded as the best Culinary Experience: Tourist Corridor in City in the year 2022, for details.

In the first stage of development of the Culinary Awards an Advisory Council was implemented. Prior to the launch of the 4th edition, this council with its track record and experience, analyzed the registration, evaluation and category processes in conjunction with the Organizing Committee. The Council is made up of 5 personalities from the gastronomic industry:

  • Giammarco Vela – Grupo Monalisa
  • Diego Lagarde – Wachinango’s – Squid Roe
  • Edgar Roman – President Club Vatel
  • César Pita – Lumbre – Yoko
  • David Camhi – La Lupita

Each of the restaurants will be able to select which categories to participate in and will be evaluated by both the jury and by public vote. Restaurants will be able to register for free from March 15 to April 15 of this year by using the registration form that is available on the culinary-awards.com website.

This year there was an update on the ballots for the jury, as well as a review of criteria in certain categories to better align with the delivery of the awards. Among them: «Chef of the Year», «Consolidated Chef», «Consolidated Restaurant», » New Restaurant”, “Chef in Charge of New Restaurant”, “Wine Experience”, “Design, Setting and Atmosphere” and “Restaurant mentioned by the Jury”.

The evaluation to determine the nominees in each category will be made in the period from May 1 to August 31, when the jury will visit the shortlisted restaurants and give their evaluation through a ballot. The entire evaluation process will be verified by Crowe Company.

The general public will be able to support their favorite restaurants through an online vote on the Culinary Awards App. The app provided an interactive section to write reviews of the restaurants visited and keep a record of the favorites this will generate thus the first version of the interactive Culinary Guide.

A Restaurant Guide will be published after the awards ceremony. This will be an important consultation tool for tourists and residents in both the printed and digital versions.

Gastronomy trends are looking for more specific options such as local and/or organic products as well as sustainable options, The Chefs have been able to understand this and often offer avant-garde options. Gastronomy plays a very important role when choosing Los Cabos as a travel destination. (Rodrigo Esponda, director of the State Tourism Trust).

Restaurants are once again invited to preserve regional gastronomy by adding a recipe with local products inspired by regional food and naming it «Souther Californian recipe». This recipe is to be incorporated to into their menu so diners can learn more about our region and its gastronomy.

We join the efforts of the business sector and organized civil association. It is very important for our president, Professor Oscar Leggs Castro, to promote events that promote the circular economy of the municipality and he expressed including the support of the H.
