The most important night for Los Cabos as a culinary destination.

The 3rd Edition of the Culinary Awards Los Cabos award ceremony was held last Wednesday, October 19th. Once again, organized by PR Solutions and Tendencia to honour the best culinary offerings in our destination.

An extensive evaluation process of the 139 restaurants entered began in April of this year to determine the winners in the 29 categories. These winners were announced: 11 determined by a jury made up of 70 local experts, and 18 as the result of online voting “mystery shopper”, and a special award given to Carmen Consuelo Fiol Montaño, better known as Doña Pame. chosen by the organizing committee for Culinary Achievement.

In this year’s edition, a total of 28,512 votes were cast by the public on the Culinary Awards App which tripled the amount in 2019. The application was launched this year, with a total of 7,228 users.


Representatives of the 64 restaurants that were nominated attended this magnificent event. The 3rd award gala ceremony, was held at The Vista Encantada Spa Resort & Residences, located at Hacienda Encantada. The award gala was hosted by Claudia Velo and Maria Elena Vital and also in attendance were sponsors, local media, and special invited guests.



These guests included: On behalf of the Secretary of tourism Rosa Maribel Collins Sánchez, attended Juan Carlos Cañedo Preciado, Director for Training for Tourism and Culture, Roberto Jiménez, Councilman of the H.XIV Town Hall of Los Cabos on behalf of C. Proff. Oscar Leggs Municipal President of Los Cabos, Sandra de la Garza, on behalf of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust FITURCA, Edgar Román president of Vatel Club, Javier Olivares, general director of Asudestico, Jazmín Almada vice president of the Women’s Association of Tourism Companies, Raúl Chi member of the Administrative Counselor of the Los Cabos Hotel Association, Michelle Zermeño, president and Paloma Araos, vice president of CANIRAC Los Cabos (restaurant chamber) , Gustavo Adolfo Rubio Castro, president of CANACO (commerce chamber) Servytur Los Cabos, Sandra Félix, commercial director on behalf of Jesús Ordoñez, director of the tourism Trust of the sate (FITUES), Sergio Baños, president of SKAL Los Cabos, and Rafael García Ceseña, general director of the Economic Development and Tourism of Los Cabos.

Upon arrival guess walked the red carpet while a live band provided by Gramusik, an event sponsor. Following the award ceremony, a celebration cocktail party was held in the spectacular lobby of the Vista Encantada with a live performance by DJ Alejandro Rivas and Patricio Hegewisch.

Crowe Mexico was the company ensuring the transparency and legality of the evaluation process and results for the third consecutive year. Iván Bautista, partner of the company, delivered the envelopes containing all the results. More than 18 companies united to make this event «the most important night for Los Cabos as a culinary destination”.


The Culinary Awards Los Cabos 2022 Gastronomic Guide will be completed soon in both printed and digital format. It will provide a directory of locations for the 139 registered restaurants.
