Los Cabos, BCS – On Tuesday, October 29th, the Culinary Awards Los Cabos announced the nominated restaurants for its fifth edition, celebrating culinary excellence across 22 categories. Representatives from the 152 participating restaurants, sponsors, media, and other special guests gathered at Crania to mark this milestone, with the awards gala set for November 2 at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Golf & Beach Resort.

Highlights from the Culinary Awards Los Cabos 5th Edition:

  • 152 restaurants took part, showcasing the region’s diverse culinary talent.
  • 10 categories were open to public nomination, receiving 67,036 votes from 20,275 users.
  • 10 additional categories were selected by an 86-member jury, and 2 categories were open to public vote, sponsored by Reserva de la Familia.
  • Lifetime Culinary Achievement Award honored Edith Jiménez Moreno for her pivotal role in Los Cabos’ tourism industry over the past 45 years.
  • Al Rescate Program: The Culinary Awards continued its commitment to social responsibility by supporting this food security initiative.

The evening was hosted by Amparo García, who announced the nominees across all categories. With transparency as a core value, the renowned firm Crowe audited the results, with Iván Bautista Osuna presenting the final tallies.

The evening also celebrated Baja Wines on its 20th anniversary. This local company, a leading distributor of premium wines in Los Cabos, contributes to the area’s wine culture while creating over 60 jobs. Owner Héctor Zúñiga was recognized for Baja Wines’ ongoing support of the Culinary Awards.

Special Recognition and Industry Impact This year’s prestigious Lifetime Culinary Achievement Award was presented to Edith Jiménez Moreno by Claudia del Pino, CEO of TENDENCIA, and Linda McHatton, CEO of PR Solutions. For over 45 years, Edith and Grupo Edith’s have been instrumental in shaping the culinary identity of Los Cabos, blending authenticity with innovation.

In the Jury-Nominated Restaurant category, Committee President Jesús Corral González highlighted that this honor is awarded to a restaurant that exemplifies Los Cabos’ culinary spirit internationally, regardless of official participation in the Culinary Awards.
