Culinary Awards Los Cabos strengthened its commitment to social responsibility this year by expanding its collaboration with the Alianza por la Seguridad Alimentaria de Baja California Sur (ASA Alimentaria). With a focus on sharing valuable information about its actions and creating a positive impact within the community, this initiative encourages more restaurants across Baja California Sur to join the Al Rescate program.

During the gala, Felipe Fernández, Chairman of the Board, delivered an inspiring speech to the audience, highlighting the essential work of ASA Alimentaria and its roots, which began during the pandemic.

The event also welcomed key sponsors, media, and distinguished guests, including Abril Urieta, Director of Economic Development for the XV Los Cabos City Council; Christian Agúndez, Mayor of Los Cabos; Rodrigo Esponda Cascajares, Managing Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board (FITURCA); Lilzi Orci, Executive President of the Los Cabos Hotel Association; and Mauricio Salicrup, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Los Cabos Hotel Association.

The fifth Culinary Awards ceremony was filled with emotional and memorable moments, both for those honored and for those who presented the iconic Culinary Awards statuette, designed by artist Yandi Monardo and produced by Talleres de los Ballesteros.

Christian Agúndez, Mayor of Los Cabos, underscored the region’s importance as a top destination and called on various sectors to join forces to promote it further, stating, “Together, we can establish ourselves as a true culinary destination.”

Rodrigo Esponda, Director of FITURCA, added that 16% of visitors to Los Cabos choose the destination specifically for its rich culinary appeal, emphasizing the role of gastronomy in drawing tourism to the region.
