On Saturday, June 10th, before the 1:30 p.m. start, 44 players and over 47 sponsors gathered at the Cabo Real golf course in support of the 2nd Golf Tournament for the Boys and Girls Club of B.C.S. Approximately $22,000 USD was raised from the event, which will be used to offer extracurricular programs at the club such as math classes, aikido, karate, baseball, boxing, effective presentations, English, and gardening. The programs are to help children and youth achieve success in their schoolwork, explore vocational opportunities, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and acquire important skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
The tournament neared completing at about 6:30 p.m., with the arrival of the first team. They were greeted with cocktails provided by The Wine Co., Vinícola el Vizcaíno, Tequila Cabo Único, and Tequila Cinco Perros, as well as snacks from Mucca Empanadas and District Eat + Drink. There was a raffle with amazing prizes donated from the sponsors, and the afternoon was filled with music as everyone awaited the announcement of the winners of this 2nd Charity Golf Tournament.
Renato Mendonca, a member of the board of the Boys and Girls Club of B.C.S., welcomed everyone and expressed gratitude to all the players, sponsors, and volunteers who supported this great tournament. Representatives from the board of directors, such as Raul Godin, Jesus Corral, Linda McHatton, and Freddy Rodriguez, were also in attendance.
The tournament followed a scramble format with two-player teams. The registration fee included 18 holes with a golf cart and GPS, unlimited use of the practice area, food and beverages, trophies for the top 3 teams, and prizes for the Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive.
1st Place: Mark Rosenberg and Gabriel Ortega. Score: 62.
2nd Place: Gerardo García and JT Hamomoto. Score: 63.
3rd Place: Raul García and Jaime Maldonado. Score: 67.

- Closest to the Pin: Kris Kabush.
